Open mouth grill and swaybar progress…

Here are some recent progress pics of the open mouth grill. I just made some cuts to accommodate my sickspeed horns and get the face of the grill symmetric. I left a 1.2″ gap all around except for the 2 edges of the open mouth; 1.25″.

Next up will be to apply the final layer of fiberglass and lock all the mesh in place. Minor progress pics of the grill and rear sway bar. After 4 hours of hand sanding I got the 2 sides of the grill to sit flush with the bumper. I never knew how much work went into body work before i started this project  Its coming around slowly but surely.

I still need to get back at it and make the middle sit flush before i apply my final layer of bondo. I also got around to painting my rear sway bar in my ghetto paint booth.

Hopefully once I find a decent 5 lug I will be able to install all my suspension pieces I have sitting in the basement. While trying to disassemble one of my mz6 caliper I stripped one of the allen bolts. I don’t know why mazda went with an allen bolt such a bad design!!
